..........On another occasion during a mediumship demonstration at Universal Cottage in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland where I live. I was connected to a lovely lady that had both parents in the spirit world, as I was talking to her they were referring to a little white dog she has and giving information about it. I was very aware as I was connected to these lovely spirit people that another little dog was vying for my attention. Ronson the little silky terrier was not going to wait to ‘talk’ to his beloved person. And in This little silky terrier’s owners words this is how the following proceeded.

Deb. you were talking to a lady in front of me and you had her parents there for her, they were telling her that she had made the right decision to keep the little white dog. After a while talking about this little white dog you told the room that there was this other little dog who was being very persistent and impatient and you were having to tell him to wait. you continued talking to this lady with her parents for a few minutes more but then said that you would have to ask her parents to step back as this little dog wasn't going to wait to speak any longer. (I have to say, as you said this I just knew it was Ronson but I wouldn't allow myself to believe it as I wanted it too much).

You started off by telling the room that this little dog was an Australian Silky Terrier and that he had lived to a very old age. An older lady at the back put her hand up and said that she had a silky terrier that lived to 14 but you said "no, he is telling me that he lived much longer than that, 16, 17" I put my hand up and said that my little boy had lived to the age of 17 1/2.
You said that he was a very cheeky little thing, full of life and spirit and when he wanted your attention he got it. I knew then my boy was with you.
You then said he was showing you that he was bumping into walls continuously, bump, bump with his little head, and I confirmed for you that he did indeed used to run into everything as he was blind.
You then said that he was also showing you that he used to stand and stare at the walls and wow there were some interesting walls, all sorts of things going on there. He was also showing you confusion and fogginess and he used the word dementia, which I then confirmed to that he did indeed have dementia and used to spend a lot of time staring at walls.

He then went on to tell you that he was "our child" our only child, as we did not have children as such that he was our son, which indeed he was.
He told you he had lived in several homes and yes he did, 4 in total.
He showed you that he had a red collar that I still had and that no one was ever allowed to wear that collar that that was his. He also told you that I had a box of his things under my bed, all true!

He showed you that in that particular week I had been looking at his photo and holding his photo close to me a lot more than usual and yes I had been as he had been passed for one year that week.

He told you he was spoilt rotten and yes that was definitely true, he showed you that he used to sleep on the bed with us for afternoon naps and that he still lays there all the time.
He said that he has never left us and never will; he will always be with us and is not going anywhere.

He then told you that we now had a golden retriever, and he started to laugh and said "she'll never pass, she is nowhere near as smart as I was" I confirmed that yes we did have a golden retriever and that she was a guide dog pup in training, that her chances of passing weren't overly high and that my husband and I often remarked that she wasn't as smart as Ronson.

You said that he was saying his name was similar to one of your guides, which was Roland and I confirmed for you that his name was Ronson.

You said that you had never met such a funny boy and such a determined boy to get through to his mum and that he was a character and that you loved spending time with him.

I can't tell you what it meant to me to have him come talk with me that night, and will always be grateful to you for that. My husband only wishes he had been there as well………………..Amanda, QLD

The gorgeous little 'Ronson' 17 1/2 years old, blind and suffering dementia here on earth, but in the spirit world he is still as spritly as ever and commanding attention!

The sprightly little energy and the love with which this beautiful little dog came through will be something I will always remember.

I can without a doubt tell you that your beloved pets do in fact move to the spirit world just the same as the humans we have loved in our lives. And frequently they come through together letting us know that they are loved and looked after in the other world. A new 'Spirit Helper' a gift from 11-11-11!

Well 11-11-11 has just passed and out here at 'Universal Cottage' we had a private gathering of friends to ground this new frequency into our lives, to awaken to the divine magnificence of Us, to move forward into a perfect vision of ourselves, to manifest all that we focus on for the future. Wow what a powerful night, close loving friends around a magical bonfire in the evening, meditation, intention setting, drums, music, laughter, what a night!!

My focus of the night was to cast off my reluctance, to move from the reluctant psychic to the confident ambassador for the Spirit World I see in my mind, one that welcomes opportunities to deliver messages from the Spirit World, not one to run and dodge all opportunities presented to me! My new vision saw me standing before groups of people delivering the most profound messages to loved ones here from the Spirit World, and as I cast my intentions into the fire on 11-11-11 I knew something had changed!

Last night, only 2 nights later I had the most profound 'dream' if you can call it that, it was more than a dream and even while in that state I knew this was more than a dream, this was an experience I was having! Waking up immediately after with a sense of knowing that I had just experienced a profound shift and connected with someone from the Spirit World that I was to have a lot more to do with in the future.

In my 'dream' I was to be performing a mediumship demonstration, and the usual panic and dread were filling my body, will I be good enough? This question rattling through my mind, I stepped up in front of a crowd of people to connect to the Spirit World and deliver their messages. As I did I felt my entire body being overshadowed by a very strong determined Spirit Person. My persona took on a whole new being, I knew I was moving in an energetic manner around the stage, making large arm gestures, and speaking in an Scottish/Irish accent. I knew I was connected to a loving powerful man who introduced himself as Albert Best. While delivering the message to the people I remember looking out in the crowd to two mediums I respect for their dedication to the Spirit World and the quality of their work. Albert exclaimed via me that he would now be working with 3 mediums from this gathering from the Spirit World . In this instance I knew he meant I was one of them, as were they.

I woke from this state immediately knowing I had to remember the name of this Spirit Person and look it up as this was real! this was more than a dream I had just met the Spirit Person that would be working with me from this point on!

In the morning before I did anything else, I tried to remember the name of the Spirit Person I had met, Arthur, Albert I knew it started with an A but I remembered the last name of Best! I found HIM!

was a Northern Irish medium, famous for being known as one of the greatest psychics of the 20th Century.

Quote by Albert: "I go through tortures before every demonstration. But once on the platform I become icy cool. I am not afraid of the 'dead' — only of Spiritualists!"

Perhaps this reluctance is why we have connected, I appreciate his guidance from The Other Side!!!

Physical Mediumship???

Physical Mediumship? How many people have heard of it? How many people have experienced it? How many people can do it?

Physical Mediumship is quite rare now days, but we in Australia are lucky enough to have one of the only Physical Mediums around and certainly one of the best out there at this present time. David Thompson of the Circle of the Silver Cord is an amazing man, one who truly gives of himself for us here and for those in the Spirit World. When you find out what this type of mediumship entails you will certainly agree with me!

I was recently invited into a Physical Mediumship seance, what an amazing experience and what an honour to be present in the room while people from the spirit world manifest into physical form and communicate with us! yes I did say spirit people manifest into physical form for the purpose of communicating with us!!

A Physical Medium has the ability to go into a trance state and his consciousness leaves his body and is suspended for the duration of the seance therefore he is not consciously aware of what transpires during the seance. This is a service born of a love of people and of the spirit world, to place themselves at our service in such a way. There are no rounds of applause for the medium, no oooo's & ahhhh's from the crowd just total surrender for our benefit.

A Physical Medium is a very special individual who's body chemistry allows them to produce a substance called ectoplasm. Ectoplasm exudes from the mediums body via their nose, mouth, ears, eyes and sometimes solar plexus. This substance is likened to a fine fibrous fairy floss or spider web consistency and the spirit communicators can 'step into' or place their energy into this substance. The Ectoplasm forms around the spirit person and for a while via the use of the physical mediums body they become 'real' or 'solid' again for want of a more respectful word for they are always 'real'!

We entered the seance room after being searched for any device that we may have forgotten that could produce some light as light is very harmful to the ectoplasm and as this is an internal substance of the medium it is therefore very harmful to the medium. There have been accounts of physical mediums being harmed and even killed as a result of light affecting the ectoplasm.

The room was not large and we entered without shoes, jewelery, anything metallic. Chairs were placed around the walls and on one wall was what is referred to as 'The Cabinet' similar to a cupboard with a black curtain across the front. This is where is medium sits during the seance. In front of the cabinet and in the middle of the room with us seated around was a large wooden board placed on the floor, we were to find out why as the seance progressed.

The medium is strapped into the chair with his arms and legs bound to the chair with cable ties, and gagged so that we cannot understand him speaking. he has on an old cardigan that has seen many seances before this one and this cardigan is buttoned up at the front and cable tied through each button hole to secure it. Two independent checkers one of which was my husband Grant were invited to check the cable ties and bindings were done up tight, they had the opportunity to check the cabinet and under the chair for anything every thing was clear. David Thompson was bound into the chair and gagged and there was nothing else in the cabinet with him.

The curtains were drawn, the lights were extinguished and we held the hand of the person either side of us and joined in rousing song, and as the medium slipped into a trance we sang our hearts out. The singing in the room raises the vibration to allow the spirit communicators to enter the room. In the room with us was the seance controller from the physical world, Christine Morgan a well known medium in her own right, Christine was the guide we were to follow during the seance. Under Christine's chair she had a trumpet, (a cone similar to a megaphone with fluorescent tape on the end so we could see it moving around the room in the dark) a harmonica, some drumsticks also with fluorescent tape on them. We would find out during the seance what all these were for!

After the second song from the middle of the room came the voice of William, David Thompson's main guide and the spirit person in charge of overseeing the seance and David's safety. A booming voice of an old English gentleman, as William spoke you could hear his voice in different parts of the room, and most amazingly you could hear his footsteps with his hard soled healed dress shoes on the wooden board in the centre of the room. We had the opportunity to ask William questions and he would approach each person and answer them, he would then ask if he could touch them and would place his hand on their head. On the previous night my great friend had the opportunity to ask William a question and he placed his hand on her head. Her description of his hand was that it was a very large hand very strong and heavy, a 'meaty' had to use her exact words. William is over 6 feet tall and quite a substantial man. When William was satisfied that the room was safe and secure and answered our questions he retreated back into the spirit world. As the spirits moved in and out of the ectoplasm you would hear a noise rather like a vacuum sucking up liquid (this is my best written explanation of the noise)

After William left the next spirit person from the seance team was Timmy a young boy that died in the 1800's Timmy's role is to manipulate the ectoplasm and also bring through the loved ones that wish to communicate. The ectoplasm can be soft and fibrous or it can be manipulated into rods like steal rods. Timmy will attach the ectoplasm to the end of the 'trumpet' the cone shaped megaphone, and use the ectoplasm like a rod and move the trumpet all around the room at a speed you couldn't imagine anyone managing to do in this world.

The next series of photos show the process of materialising a spirit form. They were taken in about 30 minutes. An assistant holds the curtain to reveal entranced medium Ethel Post-Parrish, of Pennsylvania, USA.
A cloudy pillar of ectoplasm slowly builds from the medium to the height of a full grown woman. Gradually the ectoplasm solidifies until finally the full figure emerges completely materialised. It is Silver Belle and Indian girl said to be the mediums spirit guide. (taken from 'This is Spiritualism by Maurice Barbanell)

We placed Timmy's music on loudly and raised the vibration again and before long the trumpet began flying around the room to the ceiling and floor right up to peoples faces with an amazing speed! The trumpet flew up to Grant tapped him on each leg then on his head and flew off again. This cheeky young spirit was loving his time in the room with us. Timmy spoke and was reassured by Christine about where he was, and also told that queen Victoria was no longer in power and in fact she was now in his world, this was a surprise to Timmy.

Timmy then brought through the grandfather of one of the guests in the room. There was a remarkable difference in the communication of the regular seance spirit people and a new person from the spirit world, it is much harder for them to manipulate the ectoplasm as they are new to it but they manage as we manged to understand their communication. The gentleman who's grandfather come though verified it was his grandfather by the fact the when alive his grandfather only had two fingers on his right hand and when the spirit grandfather took his grandsons face in his hands one hand only had two fingers!!

The previous night was a world first as a woman's husband came through from the spirit world, he spoke in his own voice that the woman recognized as him and placed his hands on her face and kissed her on the lips!! Love truly never does die!!

After the grandfather left the room another of this particular seance's regulars entered in an unmistakable voice that we all recognized and has previously been tested from seance recordings against the real persons recorded voice and found to be a perfect match.

Louis Armstrong greeted us all in his unmistakable voice and beautifully loving & fun energy you could not only hear him but feel his presence in the room with us. He asked Christine for his harmonica and preceded to play a song for us all, he then asked for his music to be played softly and sang the most beautiful rendition of What A Wonderful World!! Oh what a joy it was to be sitting in the room with the spirit presence of the great Louis Armstrong singing for us all!!!

But my favourite spirit communicator of the night was a slightly naughty, flamboyant gay man who I hadn't heard of prior to the seance but have looked up since called Quentin Crisp! What an amazing energy, naughty, quick witted & truly flamboyant!! Again my friend on the previous night had laughed out loud when Quentin had made a comment, and this attracted him over to her, he played with her hair commenting on how much he liked the purple streak in the front and sat on her lap. She describes his hands and long thin bony fingers not like Williams heavy thick big hands, and a very firm small bum which i am sure Quentin would have agreed with!

The seance drew to an end, we thanked our fabulous spirit communicators and felt truly blessed to have been in the presence of them! We placed the music on and sang again to raise the rooms vibration so they could leave this realm and David could return to his body. As we sang there was an almighty crash and I jumped nearly taking the two sitting either side with me. When we turned the lights back on the chair that David had been sitting in and was still strapped to was now in the centre of the room.. The spirit communicators had levitated his chair out of the cabinet and placed it in the centre of the room. And further more the cardigan David was wearing was now on backwards and the buttons were down his back and it was still cable tied together!!!

As David returned to consciousness I sat in awe of this amazing mans ability and also his willingness to put his body through an extreme and potentially dangerous process to change our lives forever with the realisation that the spirit world is real and with us and life does truly continue!!!!!!!

How amazing to have someone draw a picture of your loved one 19 years after they passed into the Spirit World!!

Is this possible???

Let me assure you that this is possible and there are some very talented people that can do this! Being a medium myself I am accustomed to hearing people's messages from their loved ones in spirit and daily work with clients and pass on information to provide evidence that their loved ones still exist, and are still connected and loving and interested in their lives.

This time it was my turn to receive such validation!

I was away in Melbourne at a week long mediumship intensive course, studying with some of the best from all over Aust, NZ and England. Luckily enough to be selected to be in the highest group our tutor was a very talented and famous medium that had flown out from England to teach us.

Because of the calibre of fellow students in my group I had over the first few days received connection and validation from many of my loved ones in spirit from the other classmates as we performed readings for each other strengthening our skills.

There was one loved one in spirit that I hadn't heard from and missed dearly, in fact I have written about him in my book 'The Reluctant Psychic' it was my father-in-law Drago or Doug as we called him here in Australia.

Doug was a larger than life character with a heart of gold! He loved a party and a drink and was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. My then husband Darryl and I surprised Doug with a party for his 50th birthday and what a party it was Doug had the time of his life! Sadly Doug passed into the spirit world a week after his 50th birthday with a massive heart attack.

19 years later I am at the course in Melbourne studying the finer aspects of mediumship, and knowing my friends and family in the spirit world are close around me. One night I ask for some assistance, "please allow me to be the best I can be, I know you are there, and I appreciate your help and support" I said to them all while sitting in my room alone.

Now each day at the course we would all gather in the main room for our morning meeting to share, some that had written poems the night before read them out, some would get up and tell funny stories and we would discuss any changes to the days agenda that had been made. All the time while the meeting was going on a lady would stand off to the side of the stage with an easel and connect to someone in spirit and start to draw their portrait.

This particular day traditionally known in this form of training as 'Weepy Wednesday' because it is the day of heightened emotion, and that certainly was the case for me, I felt as if I was just holding it together. I looked over to the lady drawing the portrait and the emotion started rising, I nudged my friend sitting next to me and exclaimed "Oh My God! She is drawing my Father-In-Law!" Yes right there in front of my eyes Doug's face started to appear and I started to cry, in a room of 104 other psychics and mediums I was loosing it!!

When the drawing was done the artist stood in front of us all and presented the picture along with some information about the man she had just connected to. "I cant understand his name, but I hear the letters D & R really strong"......His name was Drago! "This man was very naughty and loved a drink".......he absolutely did! "He has piercing blue eyes".......correct again! and on she went!

Amid my blubbering I managed to claim the picture and the information she was presenting and let everyone know that it was in fact my beloved Father-In-Law who LOVED A PARTY! So it only made sense that he was not going to come through to me quietly via a student in a one on one situation. But rather LOUD & BOLD in front of 104 people!!!!

Clairsentience - Where are my Teeth!!!

Clairsentience! Probably the most common psychic ability amoung us all but probably the least known about. Clairsentience is the ability to pick up and process psychic information via your body, your feelings & your emotions. As a medium Clairsentience goes that step beyond, when connecting with the lovely ones in spirit quite often they will impress the feelings of their passing on me so I can relay to the person I am with how they passed. Sometimes I get the feeling of not being able to breath, or I will get the heart attack as a sharp pain in the chest, in fact for me even bowel cancer will presents as a certain feeling in my body.

Just a few days ago I had the pleasure of doing a reading for a lovely woman. This woman's mother had passed into spirit, and instantly I recognised the symptoms she was giving me. When the spirit world communicates to me the fact that they passed with Alzhimers, they will always laugh from the other side at the antics they got up to here in their last few years. This particular mother in spirit was no exception! Her condition was particularly advanced. She had a lot to say about the family here and her feelings for everyone.

Then all of a sudden she gave me the strangest feeling I have ever experienced while doing a reading before!!!

I felt as if I had no teeth in my mouth!! In fact my hand automatically covered my mouth and my eyes widened in surprise! The woman sitting in front of me asked if everything was OK, I sat with the feeling for a couple of seconds then realised as the woman in spirit continued to communicate to me that she was talking about the fact that she was buried without her false teeth!!!

I looked at the woman in front of me, and exclaimed that her mother was talking about the fact that they didnt put her teeth in when they buried her. "Oh no!" the woman said, "I knew she would be upset about that." "You see when it came time to bury her we couldnt find what she had done with her teeth" "Can she tell you what she did with them?" Her daughter asked.

Having had advanced alzhimers this dear old lady had gone to wash her false teeth, in the toilet! and via clairvoyant images showed me that she had flushed them down the toilet. I explained this to her daughter who thought that was what had probably happened.

Well thanks to the gift of Clairsentience I now know the feeling of not having any teeth, so I am off to the dentist to make sure I keep mine in good condition!!

Of all the psychics she could have picked! She found me!!

Having worked in the casino industry for about 13 years I spent the last 9 years of this in the High Rollers rooms of a casino in the southern part of Australia.

Leaving the casino industry, and moving to the Sunshine Coast I never thought I would again become involved with the patrons from the High Rollers - think Underbelly and you will know some of the patrons I am talking about!

Well after a couple of years up here on the Sunshine Coast, a woman called to book a phone reading, she had picked up an old edition of a spiritual magazine in fact it was 6 years old and in a dentist's office. I only ever advertised once in this particular magazine and she had managed to find this edition 6 years later.

When she called she explained that something about the add and my picture had jumped out at her and she felt she needed to call and get a phone reading. Nothing too outstanding at this stage............until I started her reading!!!!

When I worked back at this casino years ago I worked the Graveyard shift (yes I see the humour being a medium!) During the hours of 4am and 12noon only the die-hard punters are around! One such punter was an old Auschwitz survivor. A mean spirited old man who owed money to the Underworld. Every time this old man was playing at the tables, a notorious underworld figure and his men would not be too far behind him. As the old man played they stood behind him and as soon as he acquired a sizable amount in front of him, two of 'boss's' men would escort him from the room and return a little later and the old Jewish man would start from scratch again on the gaming table.

This particular lady had called to book a reading as there was a relationship issue she wanted some clarity about. When she mentioned the name of person she wished to resume a relationship Images of the casino High Rollers room filled my mind. Not mentioning this and just assuming the only connection was that she was calling from the state i worked in what was prompting me to remember my time at this casino. I continued on with her reading,

Being a woman from a respectable Jewish family when i suggested that I was not getting a good feeling about the person she was inquiring about, she did not understand this. The more I connected to the woman's energy the more I had underworld and drug information filtering through my mind. I could not shake this information no matter how much she objected, and insisted that the person she was inquiring about was also from a very respectable Jewish family, and was quite independently wealthy and in no need of selling drugs for an income!

As I delved further into the reading and I connected to the man is questions family I asked her about her estranged partners father, she replied that he didn't grow up with his father but has to now fix up some mess that his father left behind in business after he passed, or this is what she understood it to be. With this statement I saw very clearly the face of the old Auschwitz survivor from the high rollers room! This old man was in deep with the Underworld.
I then made the statement to the woman "His father wouldn't happen to be a man by the name of --- ------- would he, because i am looking at the face of this man!" She gasped on the other end of the phone line!! "How would you know something like that" she asked! Amazing how the Universe works!!! Of all the Psychics in Australia she could have rung she happened to find a 6 year old magazine in a dentist's office that possibly saved her life! Over the next three days we had telephone conversations delving into all aspects of her life with this person!

There is a lot more to this story, and perhaps I will add it to the next book!

Book Launch Party

Well preparations are now underway for the book launch party of "The Reluctant Psychic" We are planning a Goddess affair! Champagne, beautiful marquee's, belly dancers, like stepping into an alternate world.

In fact working daily as a Psychic Medium is very much like stepping into an alternate world. The morning rush of breakfast and getting kids off to school is soon replaced once I cross the deck into Universal Cottage my place of work. Here I am surrounded by serene music, crystals and people that have passed into spirit!

Much the same as those now in the spirit world I seem to bridge two worlds myself. Daily I meet people from all walks of life, and communicate with their loved ones in spirit.

Just the other day I had a lovely experience with a very elderly lady. A woman and her elderly mother had made an appointment to see me. When they arrived I escorted them into the room where I do readings and immediately the elderly lady's first husband who had passed many years prior was there to greet us all. His sense of humor was very evident as he gave all sorts of evidence that it was in fact him with us in the room. Loud and clear I heard him singing to his lovely wife he had left so many years ago. I mentioned to this lovely old lady that I could hear him singing and luckily enough I happened to know the song. My own dear grandfather in spirit used to sing this very song all the time. "You made me love you.....I didn't wanna do it......I didn't wanna do it......You made me love you and all the time you knew it ........yes all the time you knew it" I started to sing the first few lines of this very old song to the elderly lady in front of me. Hoping I was not making a fool of myself!!

Her eyes welled with tears as she remembered her lovely strong young man singing this song to her almost daily! At this moment I knew not only was I in the company of this lovely lady's husband but my dear old Grandfather was also with us, secretly I thanked him for teaching me this very old time song........who knew one day it would have such a profound effect on someone else's life!!!
